Learning outcomes

By the end of this module, you should be able to: 

  • Identify and categorise CKD in people living with diabetes
  • Understand the importance of communication, clinical coding and regular monitoring
  • Support someone living with CKD and diabetes to manage the risk factors associated with CKD progression
  • Support someone living with CKD and diabetes to identify healthy choices that benefit their renal health
  • Understand the medications available to help limit progression of CKD and protect against cardiovascular disease in people living with diabetes

Please note, this module provides guidance on supporting CKD and diabetes in adults only (people aged 18 or over).
