Learning outcomes

By the end of this module you should be able to: 

  • Understand why people with diabetes are at more risk of CVD
  • Understand the risk factors for CVD in people living with diabetes
  • Assess risk of CVD in people with diabetes
  • Support primary prevention of CVD, helping people with diabetes to maintain their heart and circulatory health

This module does not cover secondary prevention of CVD and supporting people with diabetes who have already received a diagnosis of CVD, or who have experienced a cardiovascular event.
